Moab Boondocking trip

Please note Utah has a requirement for riding in the state effective 1/1/2023. You must complete a free online course and print out the certificate. This is in addition to obtaining the usual Utah decal. Here is a link to the course.

We will be boondocking in the same place as before. This is a large camping area and will fit any size rig. It's flat and sunny, no trees, so good for solar. There are no services available. There are many trails accessible from camp, although rides such as Hells Revenge or Fins and Things, if you want to do those, would require either a trailer or a long highway drive. We will be focusing on the closer sandy trails and several canyon rim rides.

It is recommended that you be street legal for this trip. There are occasions when we need to drive on pavement a few miles to access trails. You do not need to trailer to rides for this trip

We will have a potluck on Sunday night so please bring a dish to share. Most afternoons at the conclusion of the day’s ride we will have happy hour together so feel free to bring snacks to share. Friday and Tuesday are primarily travel days, so the start and end times are merely suggestions. Feel free to arrive and leave as it works for your schedule.

From US 191, before Moab, turn right (west) onto UT 313. Go 8.5 miles and turn right onto BLM 137/Dubinky Well Rd. In 1.5 miles, turn right just after Lone Mesa Campground to stay on Dubinky Well Road. In about a mile, you will come to an unmarked intersection, go right on the narrow dirt road. You should be able to see campers from that point. At the road’s end, go right and look for my Jayco Class C motorhome. This is a large dispersed camping area and there may be multiple campers present. If you come to Bartlett Wash road, you just missed the last right turn.
