Beaver Moon over Fayerweather Lighthouse - Fairfield CT 11/16/24

We will be shooting from Fairfield, CT. We will meet at Penfield Beach. Park across the street in the dirt parking lot. We will meet there.

The sun will set at 4:32 PM and the moon will rise at 4:52 PM. We will be shooting from a half mile south of Penfield on the beach. The moon will appear to be 79 feet in diameter as compared to the 44 foot light house. The light house will be 1.6 miles away. The moon will be behind the lighthouse at 4:55 PM. It will be pretty dark when the moon appears, but the lighthouse house lights. I recommend a sturdy tripod and a full frame lens equivalent of 300-500mm.

It will be approximate half a mile walk on the beach to get to the shooting location. Then we will walk back in the dark. Bring a flashlight!
