If you've got the groove, we've got the moves! Our Meetup group is dedicated to bringing together any and all dance enthusiasts from all walks of life in this vibrant city of Calgary.

• Anyone who likes to attend a variety of events all focused on socializing and meeting new people while exploring new dance venues.
• We are NOT a singles group, we do have many couples, however; most of the members are single.

• We're keeping it local – our events and meetups are exclusive to the dynamic dance scene of Calgary.
• Join our “Dance Culture" and let the beats guide you as we dance through the diverse rhythms of Calgary. Let's turn every event into a dance floor and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Good Behavior Expectations: 🤪🧐

• As a club requirement, a current, real photo of your face and real first name with Initial of last name are required.
• Generally accepted rules of responsible social behavior and good honest, social etiquette are expected of all members and their guests. It is all about creating positive connections and good attitude for everyone involved.
• We have a strict no-show or short-cancel policy (within 24 hrs. of the event) Members may be removed after three infractions. (Be courteous to the event planners and the venue. If you cannot attend do not sign up, or cancel early so someone else can fill the spot!).
• If you are ill, please do not attend events. The wearing of masks and clean hands is encouraged for health safety; but, not mandated. Current Alberta Health Care COVID vaccination and isolation recommendations are followed.
• To offset Meetup fees there is a (Jan - Dec) yearly fee of $5.00 to attend our posted events (You are responsible for paying your own additional costs associated with the event). You can e-transfer your yearly fee (full name, email, postal code, birth month and phone no) to [email protected] or pay cash at the next event.
• Social Dancing in YYC is a private, non-profit group in Meetup. We reserve the right to add or remove an event, a member or guest at any time. Liability waiver may be required for events. Pictures may be taken during events and posted on our website. Be social, dress to impress, talk to everyone and mostly have fun.

• Swing dance: Swing into the classics and learn the timeless steps of this iconic dance style with West Coast Swing and East Coast Swing.
• Jive dance: Step back in time with the lively and spirited moves of rockabilly jive.
• Salsa dance: Spice up your life with the sultry and passionate rhythms of salsa.
• Bachata and Cumbia dance: Embrace the smooth and sensual movements.
• Merengue and Tango dance: Experience the lively and upbeat vibe of Merengue and flair for the dramatic and romantic with Tango.
• Cha Cha and Rhumba dance: Add a touch of elegance and flair with the playful Latin flavor
• Country Two Step and Double Shuffle dance: Fit into Calgary’s western life-style with your cowboy hat, jeans and boots.

Dancing is more than just the collection of every popular partner dance known in the world; it's about bringing people together, sharing the love for music, and creating beautiful art in the form of movement and connection.
