7:15 for 7:30-9:30pm (warmup/beginner's workshop 7:30-7:45)
Balfolk (French) folk dancing is lively and fun. Be inspired by wonderful music and joyful dances which David learned at Le Grand Bal de L'Europe at Gennetines in France, an amazing 14 day dance festival. Dances range from the the hypnotic Rondeau en couples to the athletic Le Danse de l'ours (Bear Dance) and the sometimes chaotic Zelda.
Dance callers Sarah Lewis, Fiona Henwood and David Wanless (and if you'd like to try, ask us).
Fun, exercise and a great night out, with friendly people. Get your endorphins flowing.
Treat your ears to cracking new and old-time toons and support great, local, live music.
$7-$15. https://trybooking.com/YPTO or at the door.
All dances taught. No dancing experience or partner required.
All ages and identities welcome.
Dress and attitude: casual.
BYO water bottle.
If you’re not smiling, you’re not dancing!
