About the talks:

- Talk 2: Building an Observability Platform
By Thomas Krag (Product Owner) & Marc Rooding (Director of Architecture & Digital Strategy) at DHL
As modern systems grow increasingly complex, observability is no longer just a nice-to-have, but rather a cornerstone of reliability engineering. But how do you empower development teams to own their observability while keeping platform cohesion?
We’ll explore how we’ve built our Observability Platform on top of Datadog by adopting principles from Platform Engineering, Platform as a Product and Team Topologies. From focusing on user needs and applying Jobs to be Done theory to enhancing developer experience and enabling self-service capabilities, we’ll share the strategies that helped us design a platform that teams love to use.
Join us to learn how we navigated the challenges of balancing standardization with flexibility, cultivated a culture of ownership and aligned our observability practices with organizational goals - all while keeping our users (the developers) at the heart of the process.
Important notes:
- Please inform us on any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can ensure everyone enjoys the food.
