We will head to Glühwein & Kinderpunsch for drinks and Yuletide Hall for entertainment after the parade! There’s all kinds of vendors there selling trades too! 🍻🎶

Help us celebrate Krampusnacht (Krampus Night, traditionally observed on December 5) a few days later with a Krampus parade at Christkindlmarket Des Moines.

A Krampuslauf (Running of the Krampuses) is a fun run or walk of celebrants dressed as the wicked beast.

Dust off your Krampus costume and join the procession led by led by Saint Nicholas and your handlers, as you portray traditional (and family-friendly) Krampi.

Where the parade takes you after Christkindlmarket Des Moines is up to you and your handlers. But do let the merriment continue!

The Experience

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is a theatrical descent into the macabre, paired with cocktails inspired by Poe’s own twisted imagination. It is 21+ ONLY, so please bring your proper ID. This experience lasts approximately 75 minutes. If you have any dietary restrictions or a preference for mocktails, please inform your server. We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes early, allowing the atmosphere to envelop you, as seating is first come, first serve. Parking your carriage can be elusive! Consider the convenience of summoning a ride-share service.

Dress Code Recommendations

We invite you to embrace the darkness with Victorian, gothic, or your most enigmatic cocktail attire—make this night one that will be interred in your memory for all eternity. However, should you lack such funereal garments, we will, albeit with a sigh, tolerate your street attire.
