This Day Retreat for *Women only*.
If you feel your nervous system is overworked, or if you find it difficult to manage your emotions, or if you feel like you’re in a state of “hypervigilance”, then this Retreat is for you.
The day will start with a healthy breakfast.
You will then be gently guided through some practical and effective tools to help you calm and regulate your nervous system.
You will be shown how to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, which is also known as ‘Tapping’), Mindfulness and Breathwork to quickly and effectively turn off that “alarm” in your head.
Being in a hypervigilant (i.e. “fight-or-flight”) state for a long period of time can result in physical illness, so it is important to learn self-help tools to come out of “fight-or-flight” mode and return to “heal-and-repair” mode, which is our body’s natural, equilibrium state.
Once you have learned Tapping, it is yours for life and you can use it anytime. You can tap to release stress, anxiety and overwhelm, improve the quality of your sleep, overcome cravings and discover your emotional attachment to certain foods, build your confidence and release physical pain once and for all.
EFT is an evidence based therapy; numerous clinical trials have been conducted indicating statistically significant results, including on six and twelve month follow up. The improvements observed by clients who have EFT sessions are lasting, which means that the same issues do not need to be revisited over and over again (as is the case with some other modalities).
After learning this life changing technique, you will then be guided through a deeply relaxing Body Bliss Mindfulness.
When we are in a hypervigilant state, it can be challenging to relax, even in an environment like a spa. However, the techniques you will be guided through during the workshop will prepare your mind and body so you can truly enjoy your afternoon in the spa.
You can then share your experience with the other women over a three course lunch (or dine alone, whatever is your preference).
This will be followed by a leisurely afternoon in the spa, with the option to book a treatment.

Hairdryers, bags for wet swim suits, tote bags, lockers, robes, flip flops, cotton buds and make-up removal cotton pads are all provided by Champneys. The tote bags and flip flops are yours to take home.
