Welcome to Helping New Motorcyclists Meetup page.

Hi Everyone

This group has a long history. I have recently been talking to Mark Sojourner about the development of this group. Mark has decided to transfer the ownership to me and the HNM team. The group has been renamed 'Helping New Motorcyclists' and is closely linked with our Facebook page of the same name.

Our formal group rides are currently posted in SEQ Motorcycle Riders Meetup page (SEQ MR). Over the next few weeks these rides will be transfered over to this group. In the transition period, some of the rides posted for June and July will stay in SEQ MR. The owners of SEQ MR Meetup page are aware of this change and have no objections to HNM developing this way. It is our intention to stay affiliated with SEQ MR. There is mutual benefit to be gained from having a good relationship with each other. It is also our intention to encourage more experienced riders to join SEQ MR. And any new riders who join SEQ MR can be encouraged to join this group.

The same rules that apply in our Facebook group will apply to this platform as well. So no abuse at all will be tolerated.

All this may take a while to get sorted so please bear with us.

In the meantime, keep riding and stay upright!
