Lucille's Ball Social Dance Events

Learn to dance to all music, whether fast or slow, traditional or the latest dances! This class is going to cycle through all the dances and give you a working knowledge of everything. Rumba, Merengue, Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha.........we will do it all!

We'll run a new dance every 4 weeks, and the classes are drop in, so even if you don't get in during the first week of the new dance, it won't matter because you'll be able to catch up!

A perfect introduction to all the styles and rhythms that are out there.

Join us for some fun, exercise, & meet some new people.

$20/pp drop-in class - be sure to let us know if you're coming you will still need to rsvp.

Singles & couples welcome, no experience needed and no partner needed.

Lots of parking on the premises.

West Coast Swing 🎶🎺🎶

This class is more suited for those that have some experience with WCS or triple timing swing.

West Coast version Swing is different from East Coast, in that the dance moves in a linear fashion referred to as "the slot" that restricts movement to a straight line for the most part. Like East Coast style, it does include a mix of turns and wraps. Musically, it has its roots in jazz and slower blues music using a more conservative energy when danced, and the look is smooth, slinky, and easy. There is no bounce in it like the East Coast style.

During this class, we will begin with side passes, and progress to sugar push, & whips.

*Please bring a pair of non-stick shoes to change into. Outside shoes are not permitted on the dance floor.

This class is for couples, you will need your own partner to dance with to participate in the class. We will develop basic dance patterns that can be used for both fast and slow music. All steps are transferable between dances. Let's take the mystery out of dance so you can get out there and feel confident and in control. The class will focus on patterns, partnership (lead/follow) & music. Ladies learn how to execute perfect spins & turns and men learn how to lead. Mix with other couples and have fun, all in an environment that will encourage and support you.

Don't have a partner, we encourage you to find one and join in!
