Parvin Hike On The Long Trail
Details
The plan was to walk the the Long Trail, the Red Trail, from one end to the other end, starting at the Nature Trail and ending at Thundergust Lake.
Except now the Red Trail is closed for repair and new construction at
one end at the Nature Trail. So this will be a 6.5 to 7 mile moderate pace hike around Parvin Lake and over to the part of the Red Trail that is open to Thundergust Lake for lunch and back. If it should rain, this can be wet and very muddy. Bring walking poles and insect repellant.
Bring a snack, drink and lunch.
Bathrooms are at the start. Arrive early to use the bathrooms and sign in.
