The Victorian Discworld Klatch is a mostly Melbourne based, statewide fanclub of devotees to the DiscWorld and books by Sir Terry Pratchett.
We welcome all who enjoy a good read, and a good time.
If you like the works of Sir Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, we’re sure you’ll fit right in.

We shall have an AGM, and will be having a wizardly amount of snacks. Remember to bring a banana for The Librarian.
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with s60 of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic) that the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Discworld Convention Inc. (commonly called the Victorian Discworld Klatch) will be held at 12:00 midday on Sunday 24th November 2024.
The meeting will be at the Activity Room, Library @ The Dock, 107 Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands VIC 3008.
All positions will be open for election.It’s that time of year again, the time when we get together to vote in your committee and then point and laugh as they perform the oath. The swearing in ranges from mildly amusing to laugh out loud hysterically. Join the fun and meet the committee. We might have food and games afterwards.

It’s starting to look a lot like Hogswatch!
And the start of the Year of the Luminous Lemur!!And that means it’s time for the annual Victorian Discworld Klatch picnic in the Gardens.
The picnic is at Alexandra Gardens. It is a short walk from Flinders Street Station and on the south bank of the Yarra River. There is limited parking along Boathouse Drive and possible parking at the NGV/Art Centre.
We will be picnicking next to the Riverslide Skate Park - we won't be far from this landmark - but far away enough from the skaters.
Who: anyone that likes reading, or listening to, the world of Terry Pratchett and enjoys a good picnic with friends What to bring: a picnic basket or esky with food & drinks, plates, cutlery, napkins, etc. Picnic blanket or chairs. Sunscreen, jacket or umbrella. It’s Melbourne, any weather is possible.
When: January 5th 2025 at 2pm
Where: Adjacent to Riverslide Skate Park, Alexandra Gardens, along the Yarra River, Melbourne

Please note: in the case of extreme weather, the picnic may be moved. If it is raining badly, or some other form of poor weather please go downriver to the Southgate foodcourt. (we will try to be near the door closest to Princes Bridge). Please keep your eyes on this event for updates.
