A gentle, slower paced walk starting at Instow and heading along the Tarka Trail to Yelland and then taking the coast path past Isley Marsh Nature Reserve. Heading back to Instow along the coast path enjoying beautiful views of the Taw / Torridge Estuary and Appledore. Option to visit the Christmas Makers and Bakers Market at Instow Village Hall at the end of the walk for some festive shopping, coffee and cake.

A beautiful walk through countryside on the edge of Exmoor enjoying stunning high level views towards Dartmoor, west Devon and Somerset. Starting on the road next to Five Barrows Hill and taking lanes and footpaths to descend past Span Head to North Heasley. Then taking a bridleway to climb Lyddicombe Bottom and circle Western Common before returning to the car parking area.

A gentle walk through the river Caen valley and countryside surrounding Braunton. Starting at Velator Quay and taking footpaths along the river Caen. Then following countryside lanes to head out of Braunton, before looping back to cross Braunton Down enjoying beautiful views of the coast and River Taw & Torridge estuary. Then descending to return to Braunton through Wrafton. Option to stay for brunch at the Worx at the end of the walk (first come first served as no pre booking available. There are other options and plenty of food stalls as an alternative if needed) and explore the North Devon Christmas Market which starts at 12pm.

Welcome the start of the shortest day and the first day of winter, watching the sunrise from the top of Saunton Down, enjoying beautiful (weather permitting!) high level views of the surrounding countryside, river estuary and coast. Starting at Croyde and walking through the village, taking footpaths and bridleways to climb to the top of Saunton Down to watch the sun rise. Then descending to Saunton Court before taking Hannaburrow Lane to climb back over the Down, taking footpaths and countryside lanes to reach Putsborough. Then following the coast path along Napps Cliff and footpaths to Middlesborough Hill before returning to the car park. A shorter version of the walk taking the first ‘loop’ is possible. Option to stay for drinks/ brunch at Café Croyde Bay at the end of the walk.
Please bring a head/ handheld torch.

A walk to blow out the Christmas cobwebs and burn off the festive calories! A very hilly ‘yo-yo’ up and down walk around the Exmoor coast and moorland enjoying beautiful high-level views. Starting at County Gate and following footpaths to descend to Glenthorne Beach, then climbing through Yernworthy Wood and Wheatham Coombe across Yernworthy Common. Then descending to Oare and taking footpaths to reach Cloud farm, following the river before climbing Malmsmead Hill. Then descending through Southern Wood to reach Malmsmead, before making a final ascent back to County Gate.
