Figure drawing sessions are back! Push/Pull has partnered with our friends at Rose & Orange Studios to provide live-model figure drawing. Settle in and develop your studies on the human form in a unique gallery/studio space on Market St.
Push/Pull provides some drawing supplies, or you're welcome to bring your own favorite materials. We often work with a nude model. Students must be at least 18 to register.

What is gouache? How do you use it? and most importantly, how do you pronounce it?!?!
Maxx will guide you through all the mysteries of gouache, from pronunciation to what actually goes into it. You'll practice using gouache and learn how to layer, what you can use with it, and when to pick gouache over other options.
All materials are provided.
All About Gouache! takes place on the third Saturday of the month.
Maxx uses gouache in nearly all of her mixed media pieces and loves the option of this water-based paint that also gives you opacity. Learn how you can love it too!

Calling all fashion and comics enthusiasts! Want to try drawing with industry-standard alcohol markers? Or maybe you already have some, and have been curious about more advanced techniques like layering, blending, and matching colors from references.
In Intro to Alcohol Markers, we'll learn to draw and render with this medium that is totally different from water-based markers. Alcohol markers provide a great way to do fast layered drawings and are a favorite of fashion and comic illustrators.
This class will include a set of 12 alcohol markers and a paper pad to take home with you--a $75 value! This class is recommended for ages 12 and up.
Maxx Follis-Goodkind (she/her) was first introduced to drawing with alcohol markers in a Technical Rendering class in college. She loved the way colors could be layered without having to wait for anything to dry and the crisp lines. She's been using alcohol markers ever since and frequently brings them to sketch when she's outside the studio because of the clean setup.

Come to this 21+ BYOB art party and cut loose with shrink film!
That's right, we're having adult beverages and releasing our inner children at this unique art party. Make your own shrinky-dink masterpieces, jewelry, refrigerator magnets... the sky's the limit! We'll even shrink your shrinky dinks while you drink.
Admission includes the use of our supplies and studio space, one sheet of shrink film (additional sheets available for purchase), and the expertise of our resident shrink expert! You're responsible for your own beverages.
