This walking group is hosted by long-time FFFO50 member Pam W-I. The group walks 4 or so miles at a fairly brisk pace - in somewhere around 60 to 75 minutes - depending on the group’s wishes and determination. These girls are amazing!

During warm weather, we walk toward the west; it is a shadier section of the greenbelt. During winters, we walk east. Both path directions have the river on one side and beautiful homes on the other.

**If this is your first time meeting at this location**, please give yourself a little extra travel time. I'm not sure why, but new walkers always seem to drive right by the parking lot the first time they look for it.

**Hint**: You won't be a very well-liked member if you are very late, chronically late, or never show up.

**Meet on the sidewalk** next to the parking lot, where the porta potties and rental scooters are located.

**CAUTION**: Although this parking lot has lots of traffic and no problem with break ins, you should know that other Boise greenbelt and trailhead parking lots that are remote have a problem with car break-ins. Just to be safe, when parking at any greenbelt parking lot, do not leave valuables unlocked in your car - lock your purses and other valuables in your trunk or locked glove box.

**DRIVING DIRECTIONS:**

-- **GPS**: enter 5880 Glenwood Street, which is next door to this Boise Greenbelt Parking Lot

--**N,S,E, and W**: the parking lot is on the southeast side of the Glenwood Street Bridge that crosses over the Boise River at the intersection of Glenwood and Marigold Streets.

--**Landmarks**:

1. **Driving from Meridian**, take Chinden Blvd (State Hwy 26) going toward downtown Boise. About five minutes after you pass Eagle Road, turn left onto Glenwood Street, then drive a couple of minutes to just before the bridge over the Boise River.
2. **Driving from downtown**, get off the I-84 Connector at the first exit (Chinden Blvd-Fairgrounds). Drive about ten minutes down Chinden Blvd, then take a right on Glenwood Street, going toward the foothills (and in the opposite direction from the Fred Meyer gas station and McDonald's). **Then drive** about two minutes down Glenwood St.
3. **To park**: turn right at the Marigold Street traffic light. Immediately turn left into the first driveway- into the parking lot.

**NOTE**: if you cross the bridge over Boise River or see Applebee's or Albertson's on the corner of State Street, you've missed the Marigold Street light and have gone too far down Glenwood, which seems to be a common issue for first-timers.
