What we’re about
The Gay Sunday Walking Group is a London-based walking group for LGBTQ+ people and their friends and relations. It is run by its members as a voluntary "not for profit" club.
We usually have at least two walks every month: one is a half-day walk, usually in one of the greener parts of Greater London, and the others are full-day walks, usually in the countryside but mostly within an hour’s train journey from central London. On the full-day walks we sometimes stop at a pub or cafe for lunch, but you can of course bring a packed lunch if you prefer.
We welcome people of any age, and walk at a comfortable pace. All our walks can be reached by public transport. We also try to include parking information for drivers.
Despite our name, we have walks on Saturdays as well as Sundays, and occasionally on a Bank Holiday Monday.
Please note that we are an independent organisation that exists outside of Meetup; this page is our "shop window" to help people find us.
Because we are a membership organisation, we do require people to fill in a membership form and pay the membership fee, currently £12 a year (or £17 if you want to receive information by post not email), if you want to come on our walks regularly. The membership fee goes towards the running costs of the group; none of the committee or walk leaders is paid.
However, you are welcome to come on one or two walks to try out the group before paying the fee.
For an application form and details of how to pay, please email us at [email protected] to ask for a form. Or you can download a form from our website:

(Go to the Membership page to download the form)
Once you've paid the membership fee, we'll send you full details of all our walks and you can come on as many as you want for no further charge.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
