The weather on Sunday looks good so we will walk along the track down Glen Kinglas towards the Abyssinia Bothy. From there we will ascend Gleann Uaine, heading up to Glas Bhealach before ascending Beinn Ime. On descent we will drop down Bealach a'Mhaim before traversing along Bealach a'Mhargaidh before returning towards Butterbridge

We are planning a walking weekend away, returning to the Crianlarich Hotel on St Andrew’s weekend, with a dinner and ceilidh on Saturday 30th November 2024.

A mixture of high and low level walks will be arranged for the Saturday and possibly the Sunday.

Following the standard walkhighlands route at a moderate pace, but sufficient to get back before dark falls.

the walk starts north up the steep slope up of mill glen, over the law, turning left along the fence to ben cleuch. from there we retrace our steps before turning towards andrew gannel hill. we then descend east to the gannel burn before ascending to kings seat hill. our return is back to and descend the gannel burn path to tillicoultry where we may be able to enjoy a pint (inside) the pub by the carpark.

please note: this map shows the terrain and the route from tillicoultry towards ben cleuch and on to kings seat but from there our route will be different, descending not to dollar but south west back to the car park at tillicoultry.

this is a proper mountain walk walk so participants must be fit and come fully equipped with proper walking boots, waterproofs, thermal layer, gloves, hat, food and hot drink plus hopefully sunglasses and cream!
