Route Logistics:
CheckIn: 09:50, to walk 10:00 promptly or sooner if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 10 miles
Start Point: Walkers Hill/Knap Hill car-park, on unnamed road 1 mile north of Alton Barnes, SN8 4JX (w3w=transmits.cartoons.script)
Parking: Available at the start point
Drive: 7 miles or 14 minutes by car from Devizes Travelodge
Terrain: Expansive and wild open countryside using The Tan Hill Way and Mid Wiltshire Way to visit Pewsey Downs Nature Reserve, Kennet & Avon Canal, and various smooth hills and tumuli.
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch, and also probably a village pub stop mid-way

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
DAYTRIPPERS: If attending this walk, but not as part of the group getaway, it is imperative you pass your contact details to the walk leader by 22/12/24 in the (unlikely) scenario that start place/time need to be altered at short notice.
