Walk: Woodhenge & Stonehenge, Wiltshire
Situated to the south-east of Devizes. This route is slightly different to our previous walk here 10 years ago.

Due to the uncertainty of times/activities following a potentially late night, this event will not be available to daytrippers.
In case of hangovers, we also have prepared a self-lead local 6 miles walk from our Travelodge via Devizes Marina.

Route Logistics:
CheckIn: 11:00, to walk 11:15 promptly or sooner if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 6 miles
Start Point: Woodhenge Site, Fargo Road, Durrington, SP4 7AR (w3w=observers.essential.basher)
Parking: Available at the start point
Drive: 17 miles or 28 minutes by car from Devizes Travelodge
Terrain: Easy route that does what it says on the tin. We start at the lesser known historic site of Woodhenge for a circular route over open land to see Stonehenge from close quarters without paying any entry fee.
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch, and also possibly a pub stop at the end. Stonehenge Inn, Durrington or Packhorse, Larkhill.

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
