This is an expansion on the Yoga In French Study Group that welcomes anyone interested in learning about health, wellness, and wellbeing in French.
I, Carmita, will share vocabulary related to the category of health, wellness, wellbeing, yoga, physical therapy, mental health, spiritual health, fitness, and nutrition through guiding yoga and meditation, reading articles, sharing information, and offering time for Q&A.
If you're someone who would like to take your practice from English to French this is a place to practice language skills and share your knowledge and experience with those in attendance. Send me a direct message via MeetUp to discuss how you can guide a wellness session within the group.

NOTICE: I am NOT a French Teacher. I'm a yoga teacher who enjoys French culture and am learning how to teach yoga in French. This group allows people to come together in a virtual space to learn, practice, and share in the language. All are welcome.

An adaptive form of Tai Chi for balance of the body and mind.
This donation-based class will flow through movements that have been adapted to support balance of the body and mind. It will also include some time for meditation to welcome a sense of calm and inner peace.
Each class will have a different theme and complete a warm up, review of movements, and supportive meditation.
Movements will be taught to support those working on physical balance, performing the practice seated, and for those who perform the movements standing.
All are welcome.

This series includes 3 classes that take place 3 consecutive Tuesdays in a row. You'll have to register for each class that you're interested in attending to confirm registration.
The series is great for those with little or no yoga experience and those who have a lot of experience or knowledge with the practice. It's a great refresher course! Each class will have a focus including:
First Tuesday of the Month - History of Yoga - You'll want to have something to take notes. This class includes a breathwork exercise.
Second Tuesday of the Month - Yoga Asanas (Postures) - This class will include yoga and you may want to have a mat or something that will support your practice.
Third Tuesday of the Month - Supportive Modalities (Ayurveda, Affirmations, and More) - These items can support your yoga practice or be done on their own. This course will be a mix of time for taking notes and a time for movement.
*You may also want to have water and/or a towel with you for the sessions that include movement.
This is a new format for the Yoga Basics courses. The lessons and format have been updated to better support you and your practice. I look forward to seeing you in class!
