Hike Norfolk Mystic Bauble Mission: Dereham/11.5 miles /Sun 22nd Dec.

There has been a disaster at the North Pole! Someone has smashed the mystic bauble and pieces have gone missing...this bauble was so magical that all Santa had to do was look into it and say a hikers name and he would be able to see what they wanted for Christmas.

North Pole detectives have identified the Dereham area as where the missing bauble pieces are hiding and have contacted Hike Norfolk for their help.

Upon hearing the news Elf Simon was instantly scouring Google Maps for potential hiding places and Head Elf Adrian climbed all the way to the very top of the windmill in the hope of seeing something in the distance.

With your help I'm sure we can find the lost bauble fragments and save Christmas!

We will start our mission at 10am from the free Cherry Tree Car Park where there are public toilets nearby.

Suitable clothing and footwear will be required as will food and water for the duration of the day.

From the meet point we will head towards Neatherd Moor and then onto the windmill for a brief pause before continuing to Dumpling Green, Toftwood and Scarning Fen where we will break for lunch and then return to Dereham via Scarning Water Meadows.

Finish time is approximate and based on a moderate pace. Elf attire is optional but encouraged!

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be on a short lead at all times. For the benefit of other hikers please put in the comments section if you're bringing a dog.
