Workestration: Working across human, digital and physical workplace dimensions

Join our next community gathering to discuss the evolving nature of distributed work.

Traditionally, work orchestration (as we refer to it "workestration") focused on where work happens, whether in the office or remotely, or on how often people are in the office. However, a new dimension is emerging: who is doing the work. With the adoption of generative AI and other AI applications, work is increasingly being done by both human workers and digital agents, across digital, physical, and virtual environments.

HR must get involved (and fast!) given its role in answering key workplace questions:

• What are digital agents, and how do they do work?
• How should we redesign jobs to support this new way of working?
• What does performance look like in human-automation collaboration, and how should it be managed?
• What new skills are needed, both within HR and across the organization?
• How do we reward talent when productivity increases significantly?
• What management practices are necessary, and how do we develop leadership for mixed human-digital teams?
• How should workplace and location strategies evolve for distributed work?
• Most importantly, how can people analytics support these new ways of working and drive success?
