Even though a Buddhist monk guides the meditation session, this is not a religious event.

Our program offers diverse meditation techniques, allowing you to explore and discover the methods that resonate with you. Each technique provides unique benefits and contributes to your overall well-being. Here are some of the meditation types we explore:

  • Breathing Meditation: Delve into the power of your breath as a focal point for cultivating deep relaxation and mental clarity. You will learn to anchor your awareness in the present moment through focused breathing techniques, fostering a sense of calm and inner peace.

Our sessions span 90 minutes and consist of 3-4 short sessions, complemented by enlightening discussions and narratives that explore the "why, what, and how" of each technique.

Meditate with a Monk is a service offered by the Dhammawood Meditation Center of California, driven by the spirit of loving kindness (Metta) and a sincere desire to benefit our communities. Best of all, there are no fees associated with participating in this program.

* Cushions and Chairs will be provided to have a comfortable meditation session.

*Parking:
There are two parking lots at Turtle Rock Community Center. "Parking Lot 1" is usually busy. You will find much space in "Parking Lot 2" behind the facility.
