Christian Nationalism Unmasked

Details

Join the Jefferson Humanists for this special presentation. Nicole Shea Niebler from Americans United for Separation of Church and State will talk about Preserving Church-State Separation Amidst Christian Nationalism and Project 2025.

You will learn:

  • How it will impact democracy in the United States.
  • How it will attempt to make our nation a theocracy based on the Christian religion
  • How this will overturn Separation of Church and State (part of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution)

Nicole Shea Niebler is the Major Gifts Officer at Americans United for Separation of Church and State. As an activist, she sees church-state separation as a foundational necessity for so much of what we hold dear. She has directed development and operations at nonprofits focused on increasing public school funding, food security, and reproductive justice. Nicole Shea has been a brave proponent of the separation of church and state for over a decade since her involvement in university secular groups and her participation as a plaintiff in a church-state separation case.

Doors open at 3:30 pm. Presentation begins at 4 pm. There will be a reception with food and drink after the presentation.

This event is presented by Jefferson Humanists with a generous grant from the American Humanist Association. Sponsors include Jefferson Unitarian Church, First Universalist Church of Denver and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State.

There will be a second presentation of this event on October 20th at the First Universalist Church of Denver. See 4142298.xyz/jeffcohumanists/events/302861530 for for more information and to RSVP.
