For hiking beginners : Enjoy Kawazuzakura at Yodosuiro & Mt. Otokoyama in Kyoto

It’s time to enjoy seeing Kawazuzakura in Kyoto ! Kawazuzakura is a kind of cherry blossom, and it bloom earlier than the other cherry blossoms. This season, about 200 Kawazuzakura cherry blossoms bloom along Yodosuiro, and it’s one of spring traditions among Kansai people ! Enjoy seeing the fantastic vibe there ! After that, explore the old Japanese historical vibe in ruins of Yodo castle !
Small hiking is prepared on Mt.Otokoyama ! Although the height is not more than 140m, you can see around between Kyoto city and Uji area at the observatory ! There is a shrine that is very famous for warding off the evil, Iwashimizu hachimangu on Mt.Otokoyama, and you can enjoy the great Japanese vibe there !
On lunch break, amazing local foods are waiting for you nearby Iwashimizu hachimangu ! Enjoy tastes of “Udon for warding off the evil” and original spicy curry that are cooked by a former French chef !
Lastly, enjoy a small hiking going down from Mt. Otokoyama by walking ! Enjoy historical vibes at Torii and another shrine, “Tongu” !
This event is suitable for hiking beginners because it’s not that we will not go up to the mountain by walking and not walk in a long distance. Enjoy early spring vibe in Kyoto together !

〇 Meeting place and meeting time
Keihan railway, Yodo station at AM10:00 !
※ Meet together in front of “central ticket gate” of the station.
Pay attention that we would never wait for you and go ahead if you were late !

〇 Overall schedule
• 10:00 : Leave from Keihan railway, Yodo station and move to Yodosuiro !
• 10:15 : Arrive at Yodosuiro and see Kawazuzakura walking along the channel !
• 11:00 : Leave from Yodosuiro and move to Yodo castle ruins park !
• 11:15 : Arrive at Yodo castle ruins park and hang out seeing ruins of the castle !
• 11:45 : Leave from Yodo castle ruins and move to Keihan railway, Yodo station !
• 12:00 : Arrive at Yodo station !
• 12:10 : Move to Iwashimizu hachimangu station by Keihan railway ! (220 yen )
• 12:04 : Arrive at Iwashimizu hachimangu station ! Arrive at Iwashimizu hachimangu station, and move to Iwashimizu hachimangu sando cable car, Cable Iwashimizu station !
• 12:15 : Move to Cable hachimangu sando station ! (300 yen) Let’s go up to Mt. Otokoyama by cable car !
• 12:18 : Arrive at Mt. Otokoyama by cable car ! Enjoy the amazing scenery from the observatory !
• 12:30 : Arrive at Sekisuitei and have lunch there ! (800〜1,300 yen)
• 13:30 : Leave from Sekisuitei and worship at Iwashimizu hachimangu !
• 15:00 : Leave from Iwashimizu hachimangu, and go down from Mt.Otokoyama through a hiking trail, Hidamari route ! Hang out at Edison monument, Torii and Tongu and enjoy hiking and chill out there !
• 16:30 : Arrive at Keihan railway, Iwashimizu hachimangu station, and dismiss there !

※ Your transportation expenses and lunch fee should be prepared by yourself.

〇 Condition of cancelation
・If weather forecast of the previous day says that the probability of the rain is 50% over.
・If there are 3 participants or under as of PM11:30 on the previous day.
※ Notification of cancelation will be informed on this Meetup site by AM7:00 on the event day.

〇 Note
• Please push "Going" button if you will join it. If you would not do it, you could not join us even if you would visit our Meeting place. We will never admit that you bring someone that didn’t sign up to attend this event. Please join us after confirming that your attendance is registered or not before you come to our event on that day.
• If you could not join it after you pushed “Gong button”, please cancel it at the latest 24 hours before the meeting time. If you cancel it after that without asking for permission, you will be banned to join our group permanently.
• Participants for hitting on girls, promoting any kind of religion, network business or the other business are driven out from this event as soon as we find it.

京都で河津桜を楽しむ季節がやって来ました！河津桜は桜の一種で、他の桜よりも早く咲きます。この時期は淀水路沿いに約200本の河津桜が咲き、関西人にとっては春の風物詩！幻想的な雰囲気を楽しみましょう！その後は淀城跡で日本の古い歴史を体感して下さい！
男山ではプチハイキングをご用意！標高は140m程度ですが、展望台からは京都市内と宇治方面が一望できます！男山には厄除けで有名な石清水八幡宮があり、最高の日本の雰囲気をお楽しみ頂けます！
昼食は石清水八幡宮の近くで美味しいローカルフードがお待ちかね！元フレンチシェフが作る、”厄除けうどん”やオリジナルのスパイシーカレーをご堪能下さい！
最後は男山を歩いて下山しながらハイキングを楽しみましょう！鳥居やもう一つの神社、”頓宮”で歴史的な雰囲気をご堪能下さい！
歩いて山に登る訳では無く、長い距離を歩く訳でも無いので、ハイキング初心者にもピッタリのイベントです。京都で一緒に早春の雰囲気を楽しみましょう！

京阪電車、淀駅にAM10:00集合！
※ 駅の”中央改札口”の前に集合。
集合時間に遅れた場合、お待ちすることは無く先に行かせて頂きますので、ご注意願います！

〇 概略スケジュール
• 10:00 : 京阪電車、淀駅を出発し、淀水路に移動！
• 10:15 : 淀水路に到着し、水路沿いを歩きながら河津桜を鑑賞！
• 11:00 : 淀水路を去り、淀城跡公園に移動！
• 11:15 : 淀城跡公園に到着し、城跡を見ながらハングアウト！
• 11:45 : 淀城跡公園を去り、京阪電車、淀駅に移動！
• 12:00 : 淀駅に到着！
• 12:10 : 京阪電車で石清水八幡宮駅に移動！(220円)
• 12:04 : 石清水八幡宮駅に到着！石清水八幡宮参道ケーブル、ケーブル八幡宮口駅に移動！
• 12:15 : 石清水八幡宮参道ケーブルでケーブル八幡宮山上駅へ！(300円) ケーブルカーで男山に登りましょう！
• 12:18 : ケーブル八幡宮山上駅に到着！男山展望台からの絶景をご堪能！
• 12:30 : 石翠亭に到着！そこで昼食！(800円〜1,300円)
• 13:30 : 石翠亭を去り、石清水八幡宮で参拝！
• 15:00 : 石清水八幡宮を去り、ひだまりルートを経由して男山を歩いて下山！京阪、石清水八幡宮駅へ！エジソン記念碑や鳥居、頓宮を散策しながら、のんびりとハイキングを楽しみましょう！
• 16:30 : 京阪、石清水八幡宮駅に到着！そこで解散！

・前日の天気予報の降水確率が50％以上の場合。
・前日のPM11:30時点で参加者が3名以下の場合。
※ キャンセルの通知はイベント当日のAM7:00迄にこのMeetupのサイトで通知します。
