Mount Hiei (around Kyoto part 4)

This hike is 4 hours long. With an elevation of about 900 meters.

Meeting point is in front of Demachiyanagi station on the Keihan line. Follow the google map link for the exact location.

Meeting time is 09.45 and we start walking at 10.

The route
We walk along imadegawadori street towards Baptist Hospital and walk up Mount Hiei.

We stop at the Hiei sign and take the cable car back to Yase Hieizan Guchi station on the Keihan line.

From here it's a direct train-ride back to Demachiyanagi station.

Finishing point is Demachiyanagi Station. This is the starting point for the next hike.

Around Kyoto in 10-ish days
This is the fourth part of the 'around Kyoto in about ten days` event series. You can join one, two or come along for the whole trip.

Roughly 20 participants
Due to the length of the hike, about 20 people can participate. Please only sign up when you really intend to come.

500 Yen
Participation is 500 yen. Please pay in cash upon arrival.

What to wear?
Please wear closed shoes. Sneakers are fine for this hike. Dress lightly and comfortably. Wear a backpack. NO hand- or shoulder bags.

What to bring?
Bring plenty of water, snacks and a packed lunch.
