Urban Hike "Sneakers & Sips" at 6:00 pm-Chinatown/DTLA-Moderate +

Join us AT 6:00 PM ** for "Sneakers & Sips" - an evening urban hike/Happy Hour for socializing, enjoying the city lights, and maybe a little music and dancing!

We will walk thru Chinatown and Downtown LA. BRING YOUR ID CARD. Highlights include Grand Central Market, La Cita Bar, and Clifton's Republic (if it's still no cover but you must show ID or you won't be allowed in!). NO purchase required and you are welcome to bring your own snacks or options to purchase food.
Other highlights include option to walk up the stairs by Angel's Flight or actually take a ride on Angel's Flight (we are NOT doing the Chinatown stairs). The fare is $1.00!

EARLY BIRDS (who arrive before 6:00): Meet at Highland Park Brewery for pre-happy hour. HPB is across the Metro station to the north.
NIGHT OWLS (who want to hang out past 9:00): Sometimes a group of folks will decide to leave early and that is an option. Sometimes a group of folks will decide to stay longer and that is also an option.

Bring your ID /cash/credit card if you wish to make a purchase or enter an establishment that asks for ID. I know we all can pass for underage adults ;) but La Cita and Clifton's require ID.

LENGTH: roughly 4.5 miles round trip. The distance from the Metro station to Grand Central Market is roughly 1.5 miles.
BREAKS/STOPS: We will stop at a couple places for restroom and drinks
BRING: ID/ Credit card or cash $$ . Exercise clothes, workout shoes (hiking shoes are not necessary as trail sections are short), poles are not necessary, sunscreen, water, phone with GPS in case u want to leave early, bug repellant?
MEETUP SPOT at 6:00pm : **Chinatown Metro Station, 1231 North Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Meet outside on the ground level.
MEETUP TIME: 6:00 pm sharp . We will have quick introductions and leave at 6:05 pm.
PARKING: FREE Street parking along both sides of North Spring Street, and side streets by the Highland Park Brewery. Read posted signs. Or take Metro and no need to park. Parking at LA State HIstoric Park is $2/hour and they close at sunset. Be sure to read all street parking signs.
LIABILITY: The organizer is an uncompensated and untrained volunteer. By joining this event each member accepts full responsibility for knowing their limits, for all injuries, health issues, material losses, assessing all risks and for getting lost. Each member shall make their guests aware of these policies and releases the host from all liability.
