AMBRESBURY BANKS ( EPPING FOREST)
The remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort and, according to legend, it is the site of the last stand by Boudicca against the Romans in AD61. The fort covers an area of approximately 11 acres and was once surrounded by a 6ft single bank wall.


At the end of the walk we will go to a lovely cosy pub for drinks and food at The Bull
Please dress appropriately for woods and uneven ground which may be wet or rough under foot. Please organise your own insurance

Join us a beautiful winter ❄️ walk through the glorious city of Winchester, along the River Itchen through fields woods of the nature reserve, and up onto St Catherine’s Hill for views.

Organizer fee - £10

Then back into historic Winchester which has a fabulous Christmas market ! One of the best in Europe. We will end at a historic pub for food and 🍺 drinks.

Day includes -

- 4.5 miles circular walk.
- Guided information about Winchester & Winchester Cathedral.
- Visit to the Christmas Market.
- Christmas present for everyone.
