Escape into beautiful Epping Forest 🍂and follow the Oak Trail for ❄️ winter walk - a beautiful time to visit the woods
Organizers fee - £5 payable in CASH on the day
- 6 mile circular walk through Epping Forest and country side.
Meet outside THEYDON BOIS tube - Central line at 12pm
Included :
• This is a guided walk - history of Theydon Bois, Epping Forest, flora & fauna, Ambresbury Banks & chance to see a herd of deer
AMBRESBURY BANKS ( EPPING FOREST) The remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort and, according to legend, it is the site of the last stand by Boudicca against the Romans in AD61. The fort covers an area of approximately 11 acres and was once surrounded by a 6ft single bank wall.
At the end of the walk we will go to a lovely cosy pub for drinks and food at The Bull
Please dress appropriately for woods and uneven ground which may be wet or rough under foot. Please organise your own insurance
