Sunday Inspiration Service - Flowing Ground

For 2024 we're working with the theme "A Grand Rising." This phrase is used by some in place of "Good morning" and it's a lovely call to something more, something greater.
As we come to the end of our Grand Rising, we borrow a term from gymnastics for our December theme - Sticking the Landing. We finish strong, then elevate our game as we look toward 2025 to go even higher and deeper.
Guest speaker Buffie Finkel, RScP, explores the fluidity of Life. “Permanence is but a word of degrees. Our globe seen by God is a transparent law, not a mass of facts. The law dissolves the fact and holds it fluid.” (Emerson) Today we ask what “solid facts” we want to make more fluid, aligned with a higher Good.

Our weekly Sunday Service explores ideas from many faith traditions and how to live practically as a spiritual person in today's world. We are based on the Science of Mind, (not related to Scientology) the work of Ernest Holmes, one of the best known New Thought teachers and writers of the 1900's. Music, meditation, talk, youth program. We are an open and affirming community for all. We begin with a 15 minute meditation at 10:30. The service, beginning at 11, consists of an opening prayer, meditation, music, talk, and an invitation to support this community.
