Welcome to our November Book Club: Orlando by Virginia Woolf. This groundbreaking novel takes readers on an extraordinary journey through time, gender, and identity, blending fantasy, history, and Woolf’s trademark modernist style.

Synopsis:
Orlando follows the life of its protagonist, a nobleman born in the Elizabethan era who mysteriously lives for centuries and undergoes a significant transformation - shifting from male to female halfway through the story.

As Orlando navigates different periods of British history, Woolf imparts on themes of identity, gender fluidity, and the social constraints placed on individuals. Through its witty, poetic, and whimsical narrative, Orlando challenges traditional concepts of self and identity while offering a satirical commentary on societal expectations, particularly regarding gender roles and artistic ambition.
