In this unique class, we will focus on the Science of breathing called Pranayama. You will learn different types of pranayama and how you can practice them safely and benefit from them. We will talk about Mudras, hand postures and Chakras, the energy centers in our body. We will talk about how they affect our energy and how you can meditate on them. This class will include sharing of information and experiential work.
This class is appropriate for all levels.Some benefits of this class include:

In this class, we will explore beginner and intermediate yoga poses but with longer holds to build strength and stamina. This class may also be an introduction to and practice of “flow”. A “flow style practice” is one which knits and links familiar poses together with great emphasis on slow and easeful transitions from one pose to another with emphasis on the use of breath. As always, our class ends with deep relaxation and mindfulness meditation. This class is appropriate for anyone who feels comfortable with our gentle/ beginner level classes and is looking for a little bit more challenge.

This is a gentle and therapeutic yoga class that focuses on the neck, shoulders, hips and spine. We will flow mindfully through a systematic yoga sequence that can help you align your spine, decompress it and strengthen it safely and effectively.
This class will help you release muscle tension and relieve back, neck, shoulder and generalized aches and pains with emphasis on stretching and flexibility in harmony with your breath. We will do Yoga asanas on the mat with the use of bolsters and cushions. Class ends with a short meditation that leaves you feeling calm, centered and in the present moment.
You will need a yoga mat and 3-4 blankets for this class.
Ritu is an Occupational Therapist and a Registered Yoga teacher. She combines over 25 years of experience as an OT with yoga knowledge to offer the most therapeutic experience to you.
