Pyramid Ridge & lower Lynley Valley Loop #2

Description; Intermediate hike. Starting from Burma Rd. (Plenty of parking, no outhouse), & taking about 2 1/2, hours. With about 200 m of accumulated elevation gain. We'll be climbing & descending some steep ridges. Poles can help.
Loop #2 has 1/2 new trails. Traveling in a clockwise circle direction from Burma Rd. along some rock bluffs & forested trails through the lower Linley Valley, labyrinth of trails. Then along access rd. before turning up to the Pyramid/Cairn Ridge with a view of Departure Bay to the SE (Weather permitting we'll linger for a break at Pyramid Ridge). The return route is still along the ridges I nickname, "the knuckles" & up the "Processional Way". Also along the newly constructed boardwalk on the south side of Cottle Lake.
Plenty of high stepping over slippery rocks roots & exposed rock & trees.
Steep & slippery sections coming off of the rock bluffs we'll descend.
Those with any leg joint, balance, or cardio deficiencies should avoid this hike. You need to be physically fit & able to climb & descend steep ridges. Bring good hiking footwear, layers & water. See you there.
