Details
Winter has arrived. So let celebrate by going on a short ruck and enjoy the start of winter.
This hike will take place at Cleveland Metroparks: Rocky River Reservation in North Olmsted. We'll meet at the nature center.
We start hiking at 10:05pm. We will ruck the the Wildlife trail loops which are dirt trials.
Because this is northeast Ohio and its winter the weather is unpredictable. it could be mild, rain, or snow so please dress accordingly.
This hike will be roughly 3.5-4 miles give or take and approx. 3.0 mph.
The trails are mostly flat. However, there are some stairs (not the Fort Hill stairs but the other ones on the backside) and a long downhill slope.
This is a moderate hike, remember you'll be wearing a pack and walking under load.
You can pack you ruck as loaded as you wish, but the general rule of thumb for a hike like this is 5-10% of your body weight. If you don't have a pack thats ok, you can still hike with us.
Beginner friendly, no one will be left behind.
As always - hike at your own risk.
Stay hydrated please, even when it's cold.
If you RSVP that you'll attend but will be late, get lost, can't find us or can't make it PLEASE call or text me at 216-8709436
