Rick Holmstrom is possibly THE most underrated guitarist in the world today. Having come up through the ranks in the smouldering blues scene of California in the 1980’s, Rick rubbed shoulders with modern day guitar gods like Hollywood Fats, Junior Watson and Kid Ramos. And after years of absorbing all that magic, he’s refined a style, tone and taste that is the goal of every guitarist; distinctive. Whether it be sweet or swinging, lowdown or lightning, Rick’s guitar playing is immediately identified and certified!

For nearly twenty years now, Rick has been the right hand man to the Fairy Godmother of Gospel Soul, Mavis Staples, with whom he has won grammy awards, toured the world and cemented his legendary status.

On this rare run of Canadian trio shows, Rick has tapped long-time friend, musical Swiss Army knife Steve Marriner to play bass, guitar and harmonica, and rhythm ace Adam Warner on drums and percussion.
