What we’re about

Nottingham HF is a friendly, long established walking club. We run fortnightly coaches mainly to Derbyshire and Staffordshire, but also to Leicestershire and Yorkshire. The use of coaches allows us to plan more interesting linear walks rather than circular walks based upon a car-park. On each trip three levels of walk are available: 10-12 miles, 7-8 miles and 5-6 miles and are led by experienced walkers. Coach pick-ups are at Keyworth Square 8.40am, then at County Hall, West Bridgford at 9 am, then the centre of Nottingham, Maid Marian Way at the bus stop on the left going North (just round the corner from Mount Street) at 9.15am, and then on the A610 by the Nuthall Pub 9.25am, opposite to Phoenix Park tram terminus (where free parking is also available on the slip road). There are also Wednesday morning car/bus rambles twice a month, usually ending in a pub lunch. You will be allowed to come on one or two of our walks before we ask you to join the club and pay our annual membership fee (£15 single, £25 couple), But if you wish to come regularly on walks with us, we recommend that you join the club.
