SASAMI @ Rough Trade (Live & Signing - Free tickets available)

This was mentioned by Thomas on the FB group, and his write-up of it, and the fact that there are free tickets available made me book this!
Here's what Thomas had to say:

"I don’t know if Sasami is on anyone’s radar here but she’s one of those artists that I think is on the cusp of being massive. She’s just released her third album and I need to explore it more. It will appeal to fans of Mitski (who she’s toured with) and the type of bands you’d hear on Buffy.
Her first album sounded closer to the likes of Low, Yo La Tango and Stereolab and then she went a bit metal on the follow up.
This is a solo show and she can play the French horn as well as guitar (and likely other instruments) so I don’t know what to expect.
Her track Turned Out I Was Everyone is one of my favourite songs of the last five or so years."

I've been having a listen, and the new album is definitely more pop, and can see why she might be on the cusp of being big!
