A circular walk through Chatsworth Park and seeing the magnificent Chatsworth House, if you've never visited before you are in for a treat or if like myself you have visited many times always enjoy a return!

An ideal walk for those new to walking, but also enjoyable for more experienced walkers. An easy walk, with just one gradual ascent (a bit rocky underfoot) through Hell Bank Plantation.

Walk route: Baslow - Chatsworth Park/DVH Way - Beeley - Hell Bank Plantation - Rabbit Warren - Stand Wood - The Hunting Tower - Dobb Edge - Robin Hood - Jubilee Rock - Baslow. Distance: 9.89 miles.

Don't forget your Smartphone or camera for pictures for our website.
Bring packed lunch/drink. Dogs on leads welcome, but note there are a couple of high stiles where large dogs could struggle. Toilets at Baslow Carpark.

Meet 10.15 for 10.30am prompt start from Baslow Carpark (see location map).

2. As a change from the car, if possible why not give the bus a try? Join me, as I would welcome the company, as I will catch 170 bus from Chesterfield Railway Station, due 9.29 arriving Baslow 10.08. Fare presently capped at £2 single. Alternatively, maybe car-sharing could be an option to keep travel costs down.
