Led by your neighbor to the north (Lisa McCormick, Brattleboro, VT), the Ukulele Island Retreats are celebrating their fifth anniversary this coming winter!

Featuring daily ukulele classes on the beach with Lisa, other activities include a Ukulele Flash Mob on the seaside walkway in the bustling southern town of Esperanza, private and small-group pop-up lessons with Lisa, and nightly group jams under the stars at the island’s top-rated guesthouse, where participants stay. Night-jams are preceded by gourmet dinners served out in the Zen Garden, prepared by our Louisiana-raised, Cordon-Bleu-trained chef.

The island of Vieques is known for its free-range horses, as well as miles of pristine tropical beaches, under the protection of the National Fish and Wildlife Service. McCormick is often lovingly flagged down as the island’s official “Ukulele Lady”.

Limited to 14 participants, the Ukulele Island Retreat is an intimate oasis of ukulele-indulgence, on a paradisal island. Typical weather is 82 degrees and sunny, with a soft ocean breeze.

Tuition covers lodging, all activities, most meals, transportation while on the island. It does not cover your airfare or other travel costs.
