Family & Friends Portrait Party using pencil

Come along to this Family & Friends Portrait Party where you can create a portrait using pencil as an individual or with people you know, any age welcome as long as you can hold a pencil. The session will be categorised as follows:

Beginner/Intermediate - If you can, please bring with you an A4 print of the portrait you want to draw (or if you are happy with a randomly selected face, there will be some prints supplied). The print can be colour or black and white on regular printing paper (if you dont have a printer, your local library can help). You will use the print to learn how to copy and draw a face to the same proportions as the original. You will be supplied with a pencil, ruler, eraser and canvas to draw on. You will take the canvas home with you.

Advanced - Bring along any 'dry' drawing materials that you want to use, you will be supplied with a pencil and a canvas to draw on, and a mirror to draw from your own reflection, or you can draw by looking at a family member or friend who you bring along with you! You will take the canvas, and family member/friend, home with you.

It's entirely your choice as to whether you prefer to participate as a beginner/intermediate or advanced portrait artist, even switch half way! Or come along with family to enjoy creative time together and let them do the drawing. You can contact me in advance with your preference or we can chat about it at the beginning of the session.

The venue will be confirmed prior to the event depending on numbers, it will be in the Cheltenham area. Please only sign up if you are definitely coming along so that I book the right size space. You can add the number of people you will be bringing with you. The more the merrier.

Portrait Party is free to come along, with a suggested donation of £10 for active participants using the materials supplied and with guidance from me. You can give cash during the event or you can send digitally at revolut.me/katiemaryart
