What we’re about
Rainbow Sierrans is your LGBTQ+ activities group! We are a part of the Sierra Club and we like having fun outdoors while promoting conservation and community. Rainbow Sierrans’ outings and events run the gamut from easy urban strolls to vigorous peak hikes; relaxed car camping to demanding wilderness backpacks; and naturalist-led walks to hands-on restoration and trail maintenance projects. Everyone is welcome on our outings. Rainbow Sierrans is an activities section of the SF Bay Chapter of the Sierra Club. We encourage you to become an official member of Rainbow Sierrans by going to www.rainbowsierrans.org. Membership gives you access to a whole range of members-only activities, such as holiday dance parties, picnics, kayaking, and camping trips. Besides, your membership supports this wonderful organization!
- Participants are required to sign this Participation Agreement and Liability Waiver at the beginning of each outing. Please read it before you attend.
- Participants on "backcountry" outings are required to complete and carry this Sierra Club Medical Form. See the Rainbow Sierrans website for more information.
