This IS the Holiday concert not to miss! The Philharmonic's long of tradition of ringing in the holiday season is always a "joyous" evening of orchestral favorites.
Always fun ... sometimes zany, sometime sweet. And always the heartwarming music of tradition, classics and spiritual resonance that we all enjoy in the holiday time. Always a treat to see and hear. This important fundraising concert for the orchestra is our first Christmas season event this year.
All tickets are general admission: $30 per ticket. Buy your tickets online https://stlphilharmonic.org/ticket_services.html. However, the Philharmonic will reserve seats for us to sit together at the concert. Please RSVP early and keep your response updated.
For those interested, we will gather for dinner beforehand at 5:15 at Edgewild Restaurant & Winery near the old Chesterfield Mall location. Please answer the question regarding dinner with your RSVP.
There is free, lighted parking by the beautiful Purser Center on the campus of Logan University in Town & Country.
- Holiday Traditions Orchestra Concert at the Art MuseumSt. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis, MO
Let's get together on the Friday BEFORE Christmas to enjoy a special evening presentation of holiday favorites as we visit the St. Louis Art Museum. The concert is titled Stars for the Season.
This event is FREE ...and no tickets are required. Please read carefully for all the details of this event. This is a wonderful opportunity.
The Town and Country Symphony Orchestra will be joined by vocalists Connie Krull, Kay Love, and Amalia LaViolette, who together perform as Connie and Amelia with Love. The concert also will include music from the film Polar Express, Fantasia on Greensleeves by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Roses de Noel by Émile Waldteufel, Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, and other holiday classics and showbiz favorites.
This concert is part of a larger day of events at the Art Museum's 'Festive Friday' that includes free admission to the Art Museum, free access to the main and special exhibitions and to other scheduled programming during the day. In addition, a free SLAM Social before the concert in SLAM’s iconic Sculpture Hall features drinks and snacks from a cash bar and the opportunity to personalize a wooden ornament at an art-making station.
The concert will take place in the auditorium. Music starts at 7:00. Doors open approximately 6:30. Let's gather at the SLAM Social before 6:00 to spend some time together and move to the auditorium to get seats together when those doors open.
If you choose to come earlier to visit more of our highly regarded art museum, there is a Museum Cafe with a reasonable food menu that you could have a meal before meeting up at the SLAM Social. The cafe is open past the start of concert.
There are free parking lots across from the art museum on either side of the main entrance. And there is a large paid underground lot connected to the museum ($10).

- Wintery Favorites and Grand Ballroom Music in the Art Museum Sculpture HallSt. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis, MO
Another holiday concert at the St. Louis Art Museum. This event is on the Friday AFTER Christmas.
This concert is FREE. No tickets are required. Here are the details. Read carefully.
This concert will feature the Confluence Chamber Orchestra, which is a somewhat smaller, strings only orchestra. Equally of interest, this performance will be held inside the marble Sculpture Hall in the grand entrance hall of the museum, giving a spectacular resonance to this wealth of strings playing from the classical repertoire associated with holiday time.
The concert is entitled Shall We Dance as the playlist includes some of the most recognizable and elegant waltzes in classical music. There will be chairs for those who want to sit and listen and space to dance for those who can’t resist!
In addition to Christmas tunes, the selections for the concert include:
- Strauss: The Artist’s Life, Roses from the South and Radetsky March
- Anderson: Sleigh Ride
- Ballard & Silvestri: Believe
- Tchaikovsky: Waltz of the Flowers and Sleeping Beauty Waltz
