Please join us on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 4:00 pm as we usher in the Rebirth of the Sun and the Winter Solstice!
It's a Cool Yule! The nights are long and dark, so we're turning that wheel and bringing back the sun! Join us for a joyful celebration as we mark the turning of the seasons, rejoicing in the light of the newborn Sun, welcoming the gift giving Witch La Befana and sharing in the warmth and fellowship of community!
We will be doing a upcycled gift exchange, PLEASE bring a festively wrapped "Mathom" (in the tradition of J.R.R. Tolkein: a mathom is the hobbit term for any previously owned item, which they had no longer any use for, but were unwilling to throw away - a creative regifting!)
It’s a high feast day! Following the ritual we will enjoy a pitch-in meal. For the sake of ease, if your name begins with the letters A-M please bring an entree dish, if your name begins with N-S please bring a vegetable or fruit dish, if your name begins with T-Z feel free to bring a dessert or snack food. Beverages will be provided (water, cider, soft drinks).
Gathering and social time begins at 4:00pm. RITUAL BEGINS PROMPTLY at4:30 pm. Once the ritual has begun no late comers will be permitted to enter the room until the doors are opened again at the end of the ritual.
This ritual is being offered for a fee of $30.00 per person, this fee helps us cover operational costs and the continuation of Cornucopia's mission.
