That time of the year again for King Tide in Ocean Beach.

If you have never been to OB during King Tide, you are in for a treat. If you have been there before, you know what to expect.

We may have to use the different stairs to access the different areas.

We will meet at the corner of Bacon St and Santa Cruz and take the stairs there. These stairs bypass the seaside trail and take us to the dry area for some great photo ops.

The OB pier is closed due to the damage it sustained from previous storms.

Digital Photo Academy: Master Your Camera Control
Location: Balboa Park

Come out before the Composition in the Field class and take the time to explore your camera’s different exposure modes taught by Martin Miller. This is an opportunity to take your camera off of the automatic mode and examine some of the other powerful options your camera beholds.

Only five people maximum in this class due to the sophistication of the cameras.

Please bring your digital camera, a fully charged battery, the camera’s instruction manual, comfortable shoes if you intend to take the Composition in the Field class bring some water and a face mask if you desire.

Digital Photo Academy: Composition in the Field Balboa Park

Welcome to Balboa Park, one of the jewels of San Diego, host to the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It is a horticultural center (thanks to Kate Sessions), and an architectural feast for the eye’s in the Spanish tradition.

Dust off your camera and walk with me and the class through the wonders of Balboa Park as we explore and discuss various photographic compositions and theories to create some exciting images.
