Walk along the route of the Santa Fe Trail and imagine traveling its grueling 1,200 miles. See where Billy the Kid sat in jail after being apprehended by Sheriff Pat Garrett. Learn about daily life at Fort Marcy, the American Southwest’s first U.S. Army post. Find out why the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad actually bypassed Santa Fe. 1. TICKETS ARE $30 PAID IN ADVANCE via Venmo or Paypal. If you sign up, I will send you a link to pay, so please check your Meetup messages regularly.

2. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU CAN JOIN US.

3. I have to pay the history museum a week before, so if you sign up and do not pay by November 27th, you will be removed from the list and from the Kooks group. If you have a legitimate reason for delaying or need an alternate way to pay, drop me a note.

4. I am also closing the signup on the 27th to give the museum an accurate headcount. If you sign up and cannot go and do not remove your name so someone else can take your place, I will remove you from the Kooks group permanently. Too many people have signed up for other tours and not removed their names and then not shown up despite similar warnings, which is super inconsiderate. Please, don't be that person!

6. Your ticket $ supports educational programs and public exhibitions of the New Mexico History Museum. Their well-trained and experienced walking tour docents donate their time, knowledge, and skills, so please also consider tipping them after the tour.

7. Led by a New Mexico History Museum Docent, this is a private tour for our Kooks group. We'll meet at the Lincoln Avenue entrance to the New Mexico History Museum, 113 Lincoln Avenue, outside in the covered area to the left of the blue door.
