Welcome to Monday Evening Track (MET)
Do you need a change of pace? Want to improve your running speed? Missing that final kick during a race? Just want a great workout? MET is for you!! The goal is to give runners the tools and a safe and friendly environment that enables them pursue the running speed of their dream.
** Workouts are provided and explained by the event host.
** If the workout is too much for where you are, we are always happy to customize it for you.
** You can run a completely different workout and just join us for company and accountability!
** Runners of all speeds, levels and abilities are encouraged to join. Newbies need not worry as they'll benefit from a great explanation of workouts.
Typically this is how we roll starting at 6:30pm:
- warmup jog and drills - 15 mins
- Explain/discuss the workout - 5 mins
- workout/intervals - 30 - 45 mins
- cooldown jog - 5-10 mins
Optional:
- a quick core workout
- Lake plunge in the summer
The track is dirk track in Lower Woodland Park. To find us, google "Lower Woodland - Soccer Field #7". The track is around this soccer field. We usually hangout by the bleachers/benches on the north side of the soccer field for a few minutes before we get started.
