Now that the Autumn leaves are covering my lawn and it getting colder and wetter outside, I am feeling the urge to host another Soup Exchange at my home!

And when you are making any homemade soup, it’s usually true that it’s not much more difficult to make a big batch than it is to make a small quantity. With a soup exchange, each person makes a huge batch of one type of soup, then packages it up in a way for each attendee to sample a cup at our soup-tasting and also to take some home with them to stock their freezer. And that is why I am selfishly hosting this event inviting up to 7 of you soup people to my home to try this out again this year!

We will each sample a variety of soups, and work out any changes to the ground rules for how this soup-tasting/exchange Meetup might work better in the future.

So I hope you might consider making a batch of your favorite soup to share with us! Bring a large enough quantity so that each attendee can sample a small cup of your creation at our tasting party and to take home some home with them. Please bring a box of your own sealable containers to transport your soups home in. Also, bringing your pot or a slow-cooker/Instant Pot and a ladle with you to heat and serve your soup up at my home would be helpful as I only have a few. I can provide some small serving bowls. Having each cook bring printed copies of their recipe for handouts is a great addition. I love having the recipes to recreate those soups later that I have particularly enjoyed!

We will start our evening together with some time for visiting as the other attendees arrive and our soups are warming. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while we visit!
