RoxyAnn on an almost nice day.
Details
There is a chance of rain and we might be above valley fog. If you are adventurous and don't mind maybe getting a little wet, this hike might be for you!
The walking distance is about 5 miles with about 500 feet of elevation gain, closer to 7 1/2 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain if we decide to summit RoxyAnn. Muddy trails will be avoided. We'll mannered dogs are welcome too.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring food and water.
We will meet at the upper parking lot near the two Porta Potties at 10:45am.
From there, we'll walk down to the handicapped accessible trail for views of the Rogue Valley and surrounding mountains. The fall color will be particularly nice on this portion.
Continuing counter-clockwise around RoxyAnn, we'll pass the rock quarry, a bit of a steep climb here before noticing a newly made single lane gravel equestrian trail.
The equestrian trail drops down explores the more remote side of RoxyAnn, and then returns to the RoxyAnn loop about a half mile from our starting point.
At this point, we'll have an opportunity to summit and go to the of RoxyAnn.
RoxyAnn on an almost nice day.
