What we’re about
Welcome to our Stress Management Using Emotional Freedom Techniques Meetup! This group is a haven for individuals interested in de-stressing, reducing stress, and finding stress release techniques that actually work.
Whether you're struggling with work-related stress, relationship pressures, or just feeling overwhelmed in general, our meetups aim to provide a supportive environment where you can learn and practice the powerful techniques of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Join us as we explore effective stress management strategies and empower ourselves to live a more peaceful, balanced, and stress-free life.
This monthly, online group meeting will be hosted by a certified and accredited EFT practitioner. Participants will learn how to apply and receive the stress-reduction benefits of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which is a powerful and effective tool for managing stress and feeling more present and focused.
EFT can be used whenever one is feeling overwhelmed or feeling strong unpleasant emotions such as anger, anxiety, sadness, or guilt.
Participants will learn the basics of EFT and how and why it works, and those attending will have the opportunity to participate in an actual EFT session with the help of a volunteer.
All information shared by participants during the workshops are asked to be kept confidential. Those participating are asked to be respectful in order to maintain a safe space for everyone.
These workshops are meant to be educational and are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are requiring assistance to help with severe emotional distress, please seek out the help of a licensed mental health professional.

- You May Have Experienced Trauma But Don't Know It (and How to Heal with EFT)Link visible for attendees
Unresolved traumas may be the reason why you have low self-worth, have codependent tendencies or are a people pleaser, have an anxious, avoidant or disorganized attachment style, or feel anxious around others and avoid conflict.
When people hear the word, "traumatized," often they think of someone being in a life or death situation, whether it's being in a battle, in a natural disaster, in an auto or plane crash, or being physically abused or sexually assaulted. These are known as "shock" or acute forms of trauma.
There are, however, other traumas that many people experience, yet these events tend to fly under the radar or get overlooked, downplayed or dismissed. These traumas can have devastating, long-term effects on how a person thinks, feels and behaves until these traumas are addressed and healed.
In my work with clients, I find that a great majority of issues, such as codependency and people pleasing, anxious/avoidant/disorganized attachment, anxiety, low self-worth, limiting beliefs and so on, come from unhealed trauma. In this free, online presentation, we will discuss the different categories of trauma and the lingering effects they can have on someone who has experienced them, and how working with a certified, clinical EFT practitioner can help you heal yourself and start living your best life.
*** Trigger Warning *** As we will be discussing a variety of examples of acute, chronic, complex, developmental, intergenerational and vicarious forms of trauma, if you find that the discussion becomes distressful for you, please look after yourself and needs and disconnect from the call to take time to self-sooth and do a form of self-care that works for you. It is important that you take care of yourself.
This presentation is being hosted by Paul J. Hermelin, a certified, clinical Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) practitioner accredited through EFT International. https://eftinternational.org/eft-practitioner/pjhermelin/
