What we’re about
The Superstition Wilderness offers a multitude of incredible hikes for all fitness and ability levels. This amazing desert wilderness is filled with spectacular landscapes offering some of the best scenery in the State of Arizona.
Anyone with an interest in exploring the Superstitions and learning about its rich history is welcome to join. Hikes will range in difficulty from short/easy/relatively flat out and back or loop trips to more difficult/longer hikes with challenging elevation gains.
Each hike will be led by an experienced trip leader but, as is always the case, each person will be individually responsible for their own preparation and safety. Every member of an organized hike will be expected to abide by commonly accepted standards of etiquette and behavior including *leave no trace *leave no one behind.
Our primary objective is to bring Superstition Wilderness enthusiasts together, functioning as a group to safely enjoy everything this area of the Sonoran Desert has to offer.
*A $5 annual membership fee was initially established to cover Meetup site fees. We have since chosen to suspend that requirement in lieu of accepting voluntary donations to help offset the nearly $400 annual site administration fee that Meetup charges. We reserve the right to reinstate the $5 annual membership fee if Meetup increases its fees or if voluntary donations are insufficient to help offset these expenses.
