What we’re about
Started more than 15 years ago as the Raleigh Triathlon Group, the Breakfast Club Runners ("BCR") is one of Raleigh's only early morning running groups. We host three runs and one workout* each week at various locations throughout downtown Raleigh.
We love to run, and more importantly, we love to run together. We are a chatty group, even before 7:00 a.m. If you enjoy running, you're in the right place. If you hate running but run anyway, you're in the right place. If you are trying to add running to your routine, you're in the right place. If you're training for a race, from 5k to half-marathon to marathon, and are looking for someone to train with, you're also in the right place.
Paces range from sub 7 and 8 minute miles (the "BCR Elite") to 10+ minute miles. Feel free to message me with any questions!
*Runners who cross-train? Blasphemy!

Looking for more miles, come at 5:30 a.m. for a 3 mile loop, returning to Yellow Dog in time for the 6:00 a.m. run. Note, the 5:30 a.m. crowd is speedy, so expect a 8 to 8:30 minute/mile pace.

- Thursdays from Village DistrictCAVA, Raleigh, NC
Join us Thursday mornings at 6:00 a.m. for a 4 mile run from the Village District. We start from the parking lot out front of Cava (Daniels Street). Pace ranges from sub 7 to 8 minute/mile to 10+ minute/mile.
We have two different routes that we run from this location. The first, and most popular, is a loop that takes us through downtown. The second winds back through some of Raleigh's prettiest neighborhoods, but it is quite challenging and includes a nice long uphill jaunt on Fairview.
You can preview both routes below:
- Downtown
- Fairview
Looking for more miles? Come at 5:30 a.m. for a 3 mile loop that returns to Village District in time for the 6:00 a.m. run. Note, like our Tuesday early birds, our Thursday early birds move. Expect a 8 to 9 minute/mile pace.
See you Thursday!
